I haven’t done any BC classes this week. and I don’t seemed to be too hung up about it somehow…gosh, I wonder whether I’m losing interest in BC already….nowadays it’s just BS, BP, BA, yoga (sometimes), pilates (errr, once in a blue moon…hehehehe) and freestyle steps. I don’t really fancy doing BA cos it’s too intense and it puts a lot of strain on the knees…Not good, not good…I don’t want to end up in a wheelchair when I get old and crinkly…*shudder*…and I find that if I do more BA, I find BS rather slow in comparison! Hmmm, I’ll probably get smacked by cikgu if I tell him this…har har har…or he’ll just spin all the hardcore tracks in one class to torture me I reckon..LM will be pleased since she’s so S & M…*evil laugh*…
Last week Banana Man (BM) made his first appearance in cikgu’s BS class….me and my gym buddies had a good laugh as he was dressed in striking yellow top and bottom! Also, since he stood right in the middle of the class…it’s really very hard to miss him really….LOL Cikgu made a few errors during the class so I asked whether it was due to him being distracted by the BM? Hehehe…it was lucky that the BM didn’t wear striped tops and bottom otherwise he would have looked like the Bananas in Pajamas (BIJ)….har har har….
nowadays I noticed that the BM seemed to be following cikgu’s class and I heard he’s keen on taking up freestyle steps as well…hmmmph…wei, he’s thinking of becoming cikgu’s Ultimate Fan No. One (UFO) is it? Oh well, as long as he doesn’t stand in front of me and blocked my view like ‘yat poh she’ (tree), I reckon that’s fine… I wonder why he suddenly have this ‘interest’ in participating in so many classes…cos sometimes I see him in BC as well…I know he does BJ…whoa, talk about trying to become an all-rounder…? It’s funny that previously he doesn’t go in to any of the classes though…gees, why do I even bother? Not like it affects me oso…crap.…
Right, so now I’ve gone to like 3 freestyle steps classes oredi and am beginning to get the hang of it, I find myself enjoying it…of cos the instructor was nice enough to use back similar steps taught in previous classes before building on it so it was not hard to catch up unlike the first time where I was just stumbling around like a cartoon trying to figure out right foot go where and left foot land where? The instructor was very patient and he kept showing the steps till we get it right, the first time he even came and stood beside me to show me the steps…eyes rolling…yeah, I’m that terrible!!! ….hmmm…good, good, good…I shall master it this time!!! Hurrah!! I just hoped cikgu’s steps do not differ much from this one that I learnt otherwise it’ll be just a waste of time…gees…
I’ve actually attempted several times in the past with different instructors to learn freestyle steps but gave up after just managing like 15 minutes of actually doing some of the chory and the rest of the time stood there like a dungu watching other members twist and turn and basically just flying around lar…of cos me having a not so good memory was also a factor I guess…if I remember the 1st part, I’ll just forget the 2nd part and vice versa..and it’s kinda different from BS really…I mean BS is more ‘structured’ so when the tracks are played, you kinda know what moves are coming up next unlike freestyle steps where the chory is made up by the instructor so each time it’s different and the music just acts as a ‘back-drop’….the learning curve is higher than learning any of the other LM programs and in a way, more challenging just like yoga and pilates, which took me like at least 3 to 6 months just to master and get my basics right… but there’s a great satisfaction at the end of the day when you can actually follow thru the entire chory and fly around the class with everybody else….Ganbatte!!
